Question DVD/mediaplayer for Linux RH8.0

Hello there,

I am trying to load an RPM package for both Xine and Mplayer but I am getting the same error for both:

warning: xine-0.9.20-fr1.src.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID e42d547b
error: cannot create %sourcedir /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES

I take it this means I have to load the source RPMS for Redhat?

If so can someone point me out to the specific RPM from the discs please?

Cheers

Duncan

you are using the wrong filetype

you want the plain ol' i386

Talking

Yowwww,

What can I say, I cannot thank you enough for your excellent website .

I now have mplayer on my Laptop and have been able to play a .wmv file .

I haven't been able to get a DVD to work yet (early days) but I will keep trying.

I am also trying to get Mozilla to use mplayer to open movie files (wmv, mpeg, etc).

Any more help will be much appreciated.

It's people like your good self that makes switching to Linux exciting rather than daunting .

Thanks again.

Duncan

search here for mplayer-plugin if you want your browser to use mplayer to play streaming video/audio.
