DVD editing software?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for the last program to fully port to linux.
Need programs for:
1)Ripping from a dvd disc to an iso, kinda what does dvdshrink, dvdclone.
2)Editing movies to be later copied into a dvd with menus, and defining chapters. Using avi, mpeg, etc videos (Ex in win, dvd producer)

I need mostly #2. Any ideas?

Consult the list of equivalents as a starting point.. this list is not complete but will give you some good places to start..
