Hi , 1st post here
Using the advice from this forum , DVDShrink is working a treat under wine,
but when using DVD Decrypter , it fails to find any devices installed .
Anybody here managed to get it working properly ?

no doubt your been to doom9.org, and tried Gordian knot (bundleds dvddcrypter, dvdv skrink, think vobcopy), it has all that stuff (windoze oriented though).

i had DVD Dcrypter under Crossover Office Pro 3, damn thing
seem unable to grab devices, I think it may be permissions, etc
. try making a link to your cdrom ,for DVD dcrpyter to see.

i am trying the hard way , using compiling MPlayer 1pre5 and MEcoder, seem my amndrake 10.2 kernel headers are to high
ie; proggie for 2.4.XX not 2.6.XX.
im giving slackware 10 a try out - so far my dvd rom and dvd burna is not being picked up. try inserting a line in /etcfstab
no avail...

You don´t need DVD Decrypter under Linux.

Use vobcopy, it gives you the same files you need to knot everything

I can not get wine to load on my system im not sure how to install it
