DVD Burning
I am running Mandrake 10.0 Offical and so far fully updated box using 'urpmi'.
I have never burned DVD's with any linux product, and the few times that i burned CD's with it went ok. I am wanting to know what is a good burning software that will allow me to have custom options simular to Nero, CloneDVD, etc. My number one priority is to fully backup my machine before i clone my HDD to a larger one. Can someone please help me with this small problem?
Thanks,
Joseph

K3B is just as good, if not better than, Nero 6 Ultra.

There is no linux native equivalent, but people have had varying degrees of luck using DVD Shrink in Wine.
Here's my post about it:

There are linux native ways of copying the main feature fairly easily if that's what you're looking for. But DVD Shrink can do all the special features and menus and stuff. Just depends on what you're looking for. If you're just interested in the main feature, search around and you'll find something.

I have use DVDshrink under xp and found that it is very slow. i prefer to use either dvd decrypter (dvdshrink site) or dvdclone. i am going to read your thread. but i do have wine installed but i have been having trouble with it. but it is most likely user error on my part. thanks for the help.

There's an option in DVD Shrink to run in backup mode or something. If that is checked then it will slow down considerably. You want to make sure it is unchecked.(Unchecked it took about 30 mins and checked it took about 2 hours for me). Wine can definitely be a pain in the ass to set up the way you want, but hopefully some of the tips in my post can help you out. Good luck.

BTW, I meant to say background, not backup mode. It was late at night. Good luck.
