DVD Backup

I have been looking for software that can backup my DVD's, but I haven't found anything. I need to find something that copies the DVD, and something to burn it. I'm not trying to do anything illegal, I just wanna make backup copies of my DVD's just in case.

There is transcode, dvd::rip, and mplayer's mencoder. The best one I think is dvd::rip, but you need transcode to make it work. If you have KDE 3.1 or newer, you can use K3B. It should help you make a DVD. Right now DVD-R or DVD+R can only hold about 4 gigabytes, so you may have to split it to two DVD discs or lower the MPEG-2 bitrate. If you want those fancy menus, you have to do some searching. You have to also worry about brand and what type of DVD format will work the best in your DVD player.
