Duel boot??
 
hi I would like to know is it possible to duel boot redhat and mandrake.don,t ask why ,just want to know is it possible??and is there anything u have to do to perpare your harddrive...thanks in advance caper

do you just have one drive or do you have more then one drive?

It might be pretty bloody to duel boot, especially if the primary chooses swords..... :D

However, either grub or lilo will allow you to boot as many OSs as your hard drive will have room for.

I quadruple boot, myself.

Each OS need it's own partition. You may have to create another partition for the second OS if you don't have an unused partition handy.

Each OS could also do with it's own swap partition. And to save space you could have a shared partition which could be mounted as /home under both systems. Just a couple of suggestions, maybe too advanced, ionnu. But with cfdisk anyone can partition a drive.
