Dual Monitor - 1=X, 2=vnc_server
 

I am trying to set up dual monitors. I want to share keyboard, mouse and applications accross two monitors. I do not have 2 VGA cards. I do not have a dual monitor card. I do have 2 computers with X and vnc viewer/server.

Is it possible to do the following?

- computer-A with the main X display plus vncserver 2nd monitor display.
- computer-B vnc client pointing at computer-A

OR

- computer-A with the main X display plus a 2nd monitor X display server accepting remote connections.
- computer-B running X connecting to the 2nd X display on computer-A


I want to be able to drag applications from one monitor the the other.
I would prefer the VNC method because it allows for cross platform 2nd monitors.
