Question Dual booting Xp/FC2 on P400 mb

Ok, so I've downloaded the fixed install boot disk for Fedora Core 2 for ASUS p400 motherboards, and was able to install. I have:

1.5G RAM
2x SATA drives in RAID 1 as Win Xp
1-80G drive for misc storage
1-80G drive for Linux

I installed Fedora on the 3rd drive, and set GRUB to use the first partition on that drive (*not* the MBR).

As I expected, the system boots back into WinXp, because the install knew nothing about the SATA RAID drives.

I then used BootPart to add the boot record from the Fedora disk to my boot.ini.

But when I try booting into that, the system just restarts.

Any hints?

p.s if you can't get FC2 installed on P400 mb, (i can't post urls yet) -- google for 'can't install fedora core 2 p400'
