Dual Boot Partition Table

Hello, I am doing a dual boot again on my system. I am installing Windows XP Home Edition first, as is the standard for most dual boots. I will use Parition Magic for cutting my harddrive in half. It seems that everytime I do partition my harddrive my installation of my Linux O.S indicates that something is wrong with the Partition Table. I am compeletley baffled by this. Can somebody please help me in what steps I should be taking. I just use windows for gaming and I use Linux for everything else. Thanks again for all the help. Cheers!

Quick showstopper: are you sure you want only two partitions? Most people would advise on an FAT32 (aka vfat) partition for your personal documents and other data, which can be read and written to without problems by both linux and windows xp, while you'll want your windows system partition to be the win xp default, ntfs.

As for the problem you asked about, is it the same as this thread:

If so, you may want to contact the user and ask what the fix was.

Regards,

Samsara
