dual boot and email client

I am dual booting Linux Mandrake 9 and windows XP. The only reason I'm using XP is for the family, but if I can come up with a good email client it would be great. Anyways, does anyone know of a good email client that I could use in both Linux and Windows, and use the same archive files for both (on the drive that they can both see)?

Thanks,

Dave

ugfff its very hard to use 1 Mail Client to 2 different OS..(Linux/Windows) The Linux distributions have instelled on their GNOME or KDE EMail clients you can use them...and the windows deafault e-mail client is Outlook Express..

I guess the short answer is no.

I use Mozilla Mail, which is identical on both Windows and Linux, and since I have an IMAP mailbox, all the messages are stored on the server anyway.

If you have POP mail, a similar effect could be achieved by configuring the mail client to leave all the messages on the server, but you'd still have separate dirs for things like sent items, etc.
