dsmj results in Warning: -jar not understood

I'm running version 5.3.4 on Red Hat AS 4.0. When I try to start the GUI I get the following error:

[root@hostname]# Warning: -jar not understood. Ignoring.
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: dsm.jar
at (/usr/lib/
at _Jv_ThreadRun(java.lang.Thread) (/usr/lib/
at _Jv_RunMain(java.lang.Class, byte const, int, byte const, boolean)
at __gcj_personality_v0 (/opt/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin/java.version=1.4.2)
at __libc_start_main (/lib/tls/
at _Jv_RegisterClasses (/opt/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin/java.version=1.4.2)
I was following TSM's README_enu.htm

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Smile this sorted by export PATH=/usr/java/jre1.5.0_09/bin/:$PATH instead of export PATH=$PATH:/usr/java/jre1.5.0_09/bin
