Angry Drupal 4.5.2 or e107_cvs tried and failed on SuSE 9.2

I've done what I'm supposed to and for drupal 4.5.2 I end up here:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: session_set_save_handler() in /srv/www/htdocs/drupal/includes/ on line 9

And for e107_cvs I end up here:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: session_name() in /srv/www/htdocs/e107a/class2.php on line 87

If any of you had success getting them to spin and would let me know that special thing that made it work I'd be very thankfull ;-)
