dropped frames fix ?

I connected my camcorder via my firewire port and used dvgrab to capture the video, but dvgrab grab reported a lot of dropped frames.

When i play it back parts of the movie seem to be going in fast forward because of the dropped frames.

I wish to re-encode this with mencoder and was wondering if mencoder has an option to fix the dropped frames ?

any help would be great

Thanks.

I am having the same problem with Debian Sarge. If somebody out there has any help, now there are two of us who would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Hannes
