dropline 2.6 +

I am going to install dropline 2.6, it is a gnome packages for slackware. In this release they have switched from Xfree to's implementation of the X windowing system. My question is can i use the same configuration file between the two products? Also what advantages are there in the software? better performance? Thanks for the help.

I just changed over to the release and all I had to do was copy my current config into the xorg.conf file and all was set. The current release of is basicly the same as the current release of Xfree86.
