Drop-In Replacement For Knemo
 

I recently moved from Debian stable to Debian testing/unstable.
I tried to install knemo on Debian KDE.
However, it doesn't exist anymore, and I tried to install it from stable, and it doesn't seem to work.

So, I need a drop-in replacement for knemo in Stretch/Sid on Debian.

I need an application that will show me hourly/daily/weekly/monthly internet usage. I have looked, but I cannot find anything.

Can anyone offer me a suggestion?

I have not used knemo, so I don't have a frame of reference as to what exactly you are looking for, but I have played a bit with netstat. It's a powerful tool.

It slipped my mind last night, but I should have also mentioned wireshark. It's likely in the repos.

Frank, I am afraid that you are probably recommending programs that are too powerful for what Kevin really wants (I think).

You might be able to make wireshark do something similar, but it would take some scripting or clever use of filters. At the very least more complex than needed/desired. Too much detail, and not the overview that seems to be required.

Netstat does give an overview but it is an overview of connection status and Kevin seems to want packets/bytes, and I don't think netstat does that.

One vague possibly is the KDE Traffic Meter which is overvew-ish, but it doesn't break it down by 'which app', but does give you a nice graph...
