I have a new pc with the linux mandrake 7.0 itīs working fine but now i have the main board and geforce 2 mx cdīs drivers the cdīs doesnīt auto run how can i install all the board drives and agp drives? the board is a Dfi ak74-ec and the agp card is a Manli geforce 2 mx, thanks.

Try www.nvidia.com for the GeForce. Under Drivers you will find a Linux section with loads of downloads. I would personally use the .tar.gz files, but you may get the MDK ones to work.
If you search the site for GeForce 2 MX you will find someone who has written a good walk through. |
thanks for helping
i have just one more question the connection to the net i have is in a pc with win 98 i sould i download the drivers sould i do it normaly and put it on a floppy or cd? and then put it in the pc with linux, and then how i install it?

the files you need to download will be tarballs, which win98 doesn't usually recognize anyway, so it should save them normally. from there, you would probably need a cd to copy the files to the linux box, if i remember correctly, they're too big for a floppy.
from there, untar the files in linux, and the README should have pretty good instructions. |
i found the drivers at the nivdia site but they are for mandrake 8.0 and 7.2 , 7.1 but thers no one for 7.0 will some of this work on mandrake 7.0? sould i use the tar.zip or the other format for i386? my pc is i686.

if there isn't an rpm for your distro, then you're probably best off with the .tar.gz files - they can be installed in any distribution.
