Question driver install under Slackware 9.0

I'm pretty new with Slackware and I need to know how I can install a 3c59x driver. Can somebody help me with this please

there are no "drivers" in linux - rather, they are called modules.

$ modprobe 3c59x
in the terminal (don't include $)

it will load the specific module for your network card to work. if your network is on a DHCP broadcast server, try:

$ ifconfig

Well I'm trying it on an other way. I am compiling a new kernel. the module is included, so i hope it will work now. Thank you anyway
