Driver for Intel Corporation 82865G Integrated Graphics Controller

Hi, I am trying to update the internal graphics card driver, I believe there is a default driver that came with the os, but I am not convinced that it's the best driver. There are minor blunts between the borders and the images are not as sharp as I expected. Here is the graphics card info:
Code:
ted:$ lspci | grep Graphic
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82865G Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02)
I believe this gives the info of the current driver:
Code:
ted:$ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep driver
[    43.343]    X.Org XInput driver : 11.0
[    43.430] (==) Matched intel as autoconfigured driver 0
[    43.430] (==) Matched vesa as autoconfigured driver 1
[    43.430] (==) Matched fbdev as autoconfigured driver 2
[    43.430] (==) Assigned the driver to the xf86ConfigLayout
[    43.492] (II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/intel_drv.so
[    43.529] (II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/vesa_drv.so
[ 43.555] (II) VESA: driver for VESA chipsets: vesa
[    44.149] (II) Unloading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/vesa_drv.so
[    44.149] (II) intel(0): [DRI2]   DRI driver: i915
[    45.044]    ABI class: X.Org XInput driver, version 11.0
[ 45.150] (II) No input driver/identifier specified (ignoring)
I was guided from http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Sear...Hub+%28GMCH%29
to https://01.org/linuxgraphics/downloa...-stack-release, but I am not sure which one to pick:

Intel has only one driver for their cards on Linux, so there is no better one than the one already installed.
The question is if it is really used. Please provide the full Xorg logfile (please attach it to a new post.

OK, according to the logfile the system uses the Intel driver, but I am surprised about the very large number of DDC outputs in the file. I would assume that this is a bug.
You can try to update the driver to see if it is fixed already (upgrade to the newest kernel, libdrm and Mesa), but this is on most distributions not trivial.

You have already all three installed, but not in the newest version. Yes, I would upgrade all three.
