Driver for ATI Radeon HD 8800M graphics card

Hello everybody!

Does anybody know where I can get a driver for my AMD Radeon HD 8800M graphics card that came with my Latitude 3540 laptop? I am running Debian 7.6 (kernel version 3.14-0) . Do i have to install proprietary drivers or is there a open source one?

Thanks for your help!

most ati/amd/radeon cards should be covered by fglrx. it's in the repos (non-free).
