dri and AIGLX errors with fglrx

Hi,

I'm running a system with Debian Unstable and an X800XL. I used to have 3d support working with ati's installer for its fglrx drivers, but decided to use ones packaged for debian, and it hasn't worked since then. Right now I have drivers that I installed by creating .debs from ati's installer (I was following instructions I found online). X11 loads fine, but I don't have 3d acceleration. fglrxinfo gives this:
Quote:
display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project: www.mesa3d.org
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect
OpenGL version string: 1.2 (1.5 Mesa 6.5.1)
My Xorg.0.log file has this error in it:
Quote:
(EE) AIGLX error: dlopen of /usr/lib/dri/fglrx_dri.so failed (/usr/lib/dri/fglrx_dri.so: undefined symbol: __glXFindDRIScreen)
(EE) AIGLX: reverting to software rendering
This is my only clue as to what's going on. I tried reinstalling everything dri-related I could find as well as xserver. And a search with that error comes up with only a handful of hits, none of which solved my problem. I'd really appreciate some help in resolving this so I can work on prettying-up my desktop (I'd love to get Beryl working).
