Hi! I know this is the #1000 post on this subject, but.... here it goes:

here's the for the 10000's time the answer: :p
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO, you cannot i repeat, cannot use MX 2002/2003/2004/studio 8 on Linux. for MX: Only the very first MX (the one wich followed up DW 4) edition every produced is able to run (slow) on Linux with WINE/Crossover plugin. All the pre MX versions run too :) Reason, some techniques used by the newer MX versions, are not supported yet. Although it should be supported by the end of this year (or early next year) with Crossover plugin (on the upcoming version 5 or 6). I'm hoping you have a valid license for MX2004 (not pirated) |
Hi Quitar88,
I run Dreamweaver MX 2004 in a VMWare virtual machine on my Fedora Core 4 Linux machine, of course you need a bit faster machine and have to install a full version of Windows, Windows 2000 in my case..... And it works great, accept of course that I have to use Windows, but then Windows 2000 is not that bad....Windows 2000 is still better then anything Microsoft made for or after it. |

If it is pirated then by all means open your eyes a little bit and learn about other options. Often times you can tell whether or not the software is pirated my the quality of their final project. If you are going to shell out the money for the apps you are probably going to learn said app inside and out. |

http://frankscorner.org/index.php?p=dreamweaver8 Apparently MX and 8 both work with Wine. |
