Just wondering if anyone has been able to get drbd (
www.drbd.org) to work on a Fedora install. I've been fighting with it today and yesterday and can't seem to get it to even install right. I've installed it both from RPM format and through the (rather strange) install instructions on their site, but I always get an error like this when the service tries to start:
Quote:
drbd: ERROR: modprobe -s drbd minor_count=1 [255]:
drbd: ERROR: NO OUTPUT
Can not load the drbd module.

Doing the RPM install method appears to work as well, but when I try to start the service, I get this message:
Quote:
/proc/drbd not found. Is drbd in kernel?

So at this point, I'm hoping someone can help me out a little bit here. The documentation on the drbd site is pretty short and doesn't really have any kind of troubleshooting. Has anyone successfully used this software on a Fedora (or any RedHat) OS? Or, is there another program I could use to replicate in real time from 1 PC to another over the network? Nothing too fancy, I just want to be able to have files get updated right away and not have to mess around with having to schedule programs to run their copy jobs at set intervals (like rsync).
Thanks for any help.
