Downloading Linux via FTP

hi there,

I tried downloading FC5 via ftp......i ftp'd into the download site, cd'd until i reached the download DIR and then used get??????? to download the iso file.
I resolved to try and use the ftp since my download manager corrupts the downloaded using download-accelerator on WinXP.

1) can you recommend to me a better download manager, that will allow me to resume downloads.
2) when i use the ftp command etc to download, after hitting get ???????, i dont see any prompt to show me whether anything is downloading or not, howeveer, looking at my local DIR where i expect the file to drop-into, i see the file size increasing.ex. FC3-i386........
Does the FTP method have a way of resuming the in if i loose connection while downloading,i will like to resume later...what command do i add to the getc<filename> so as to allow it to resume later on.

Hi there

I do not think this question is related to Linux Software as you are looking for a solution on winxp

Post such thread in the General Section.

Tip: Try downloading from a single mirror while using download accelarator instead of multiple mirrors
