Question Downloading in Firefox

When I download files in Firefox 2.0 (in Mepis 6.0) my files often have the same ending twice, e.g.:
Distro.iso.iso
Document.pdf.pdf

Is there a setting that I need to change to tell it not to put another .iso or .pdf or whatever onto the end of the filename?

Thank you,
- TSloth

Do you input hte name? There does not seem to be any option for that situation in the preferences section. I do know that the operations can be hacked and/or modified; did you do this by any chance? If not, see if you are inputing the file type endings when asked how you wish to save. These are only guesses on my part, I hope they lead you in the right direction. Findiong your own way is 95% of the fun!

Here's an example of the problem:
Click on this link:
http://www.lbrbmarketing.com/pdf/Urb...s%20020607.pdf

Dialog box: "You have chosen to open blah.pdf which is a PDF document".
Choose "Save to disk".

Dialog box: "Enter name of file to save to..." The name is already filled in (blah.pdf). Click Save.

The Download progress window pops up, and you can see that it is saving to blah.pdf.pdf
