Downloading All Compiz Extras?

If I download all the Compiz options available in YUM for Fedora would that crash or help my system?

Using Fedora 13 on my laptop with gnome.

My Compiz is not working yet.

Compiz should work without the extras (therefore they are labeled extras), so I don't think downloading the extras would help.

have you run the test script called "compiz-check"
form the official fedora guide????
"compiz-0.8.5 repo for F10, F11 & F12 + guide for the official fedora packages"

Installing things but not using then doesn't slow anything, it just takes up disk space.
