downloading a specific version of mozilla via cvs

i've been digging through the man pages for a while, and the mozilla web site, and i can't firgure out how to update my cvs to a specific version of mozilla. it might be the -r switch, but i can't figure out how mozilla refers to their different releases via cvs. i know how to update to a specific date or time, but not how to set the source for a specific release, like 1.6. i've got 1.7a something running, but none of the themes will work is why, so i want to
set my version to a standard release. i know i can download the source for a specific release, but i guess that's enough for the question. thanks.

i think it's cvs update -jMOZILLA_1_6_RELEASE

that finally started doing something anyway. it's saying crap about merging, and i don't think that's what i want.

another edit: it was really weird what happened. i used cvs -z3 update -rMOZILLA_1_6_RELEASE and after an hour and a half i noticed it had created a new mozilla directory within the other one, and was checking out that release there, when it finished after over 3 hours by modem, it also updated the source tree just above it, which took 10 minutes. great. i built both sets of source and got the same results. and the tag names were on the download page for mozilla, not on the build page, i think.

and the themes install didn't work because i had xpinstall disabled in my .mozconfig
