Downloader for redhat


Aslam Alikum All
i want to know a thing is there any downloader like Download accelator? as in windows?

Secondly which messenger run on Linux redhat 9?

Search as Freshmeat for a download accelerator variant. I just use wget to download stuff.

You can use any messenger you want...

It's a Linux technical question, so the thread has been moved to Linux-Software where it seems to fit well.

You won't be rather able to use the same messanger program you have in WIndows. But you still can use your account etc. Gaim supports many protocols and is included in all distros.

I'd suggest axel as a download accelerator. It is console based. It's based off of wgets source it appears.
