Doubt on Running Java Applets

Hi friends,
i am a new user for red hat linux 8.0.
i tried to run java applets in the konqueror
browser under kde. it asks for the path. i have
my class file in /root directory. how could i
map the path to run my applet.

then... i am also tried to run my applet in the
mozilla browser. it asks for the plugin. where
can i found the java plugin for mozilla and can
somebody tell what is the relation between mozilla
and netscape.

with regards,
