dosemu


I have the program dosemu installed on my slackware 10.0. I have java file:/root/Desktop/j2sdk-1_4_2_08-linux-i586.bin this is the package I used for my java installation. When I go into dosemu and type javac nothing happens. I di this next commmand and this is what I got root@pc1:~# whereis java
java: /usr/include/java /usr/share/java. how do I set the path from dosemu to javac. I would appreciate the help

dosemu runs programs written to work on DOS. Programs written to run on Linux will not work on DOS. Therefore the java executable in /usr/include/java or /usr/share/java or wherever will not work on dosemu. You would have to obtain a java program compiled to run on DOS and place it somewhere in the DOS path that you have set up on dosemu. I have never heard of a version of java that works on DOS.
