Dosbox v0.60 under Linux

Hi all,

I recently was having some fun playing Ultima Underworld I using a dos emulator under WinXP. The game is pretty old (circa '92/93) and the emulator does a fine job. A P4-2Ghz will behave like a high end 486. That said I found it fine on my P3-1Ghz machine.

Anyways... I thought I'd give it a go under Redhat 9. After installing it I ran the dosbox under Linux. Worked a treated playing Ultima underworld again! Head to http://dosbox.sourceforge.net for the source or binary.

Great to see more and more integration to help make that move.

Wow, Ultima Underworld I. I still think that is one of the very best 1st person POV games _ever_. Simple, intuitive, fun, good story, etc. I am always amazed how few people ever heard of it, let alone played it!

Yeah, ze memories that gives me. Remember the starting soft midi tune that repeated with several others as you went about your quest. Back then I didn't really play it from a stats point of view... more as pure adventure as it should be.... bring back the old days. Sniff! Oh well, I'll take off my pink shades now and put on these Deus Ex ones instead.
