Smile Does SNMP commands needs roots privileges to execute ?

Hello all,

I am working on a project where my local machine installed with linux 2.6.18 kernel and SNMP package installed with it .So my project is primarily on SNMP. Here my local machine acts as a SNMP agent, and it tries to execute the SNMP commands like snmpget . I logged in to my machine as a normal user and I don't have any root or Admin permission. My question here is As a normal user can I execute snnpget commands and other SNMP related commands.Any help will be appreciated .

Thanks and regards

You can issue SNMP commands as normal user. What makes you think you cannot?
