Does Mozilla Thunderbird have Backup Softwares for FC3

Hi

I'm asking this question because in Windows i downloaded MozBackup, after doing the backup norms, i formatted but couldn't recover the emails. Anyway, those weren't very important anyway.

Presently, i mitigated my desktops to linux, i am also planning to mitigate outlook to thunderbird on linux. Does Linux on Thunderbird have backups for my emails/contacts/addresses/folder/attachments?

Cheerios!

It doesn't have any back up software or i don't know any, but you can do it manually.
You can export export the contacts by going to your adress book on thunderbird and then Tools->Expot... and when you want to restore it you go to Tools->Impot... and select the exported file.
And the mails are saved at "/home/user_name/.thunderbird/******.default/Mail", if you back up this folder, the next time you reinstall thunderbird you just have to create the acounts like after and then overwrite the folder "Mail", which it's at "/home/user_name/.thunderbird/******.default" with the one you have saved.
And you won't lost anything.

Note: i write "******.default" because it's an extrange name with numbers and letters.
