Does Firefox do a terrible job of printing on your computer?

I have Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.4. When I print a Web page, things like images and menus are all rearranged, split up in different places. The Print Preview screen shows the pages just fine.

Don't blame the fox

I find web browsers do a terrible job of printing period.

Thing is, web pages aren't meant to be printed. You CAN do it, but when people design websites and pages they are doing it for a landscape backlit 1024x768-ish environment and then you print it on A4 or letter paper in portrait and it all goes wrong. That's why a lot of web pages have a print icon on them or a "print version" icon somewhere, it's to overcome the design limitations where webdesigners just aren't really thinking about print layout when they put a site together.

But to answer your question, I find IE very bad and Firefox terrible it IS just a little bit worse.
