do I need source code

I am reinstalling redhat 9. I am choosing the custom install. Is their any reason to install the source code during initial installation. Or should I just download it in the future if I need it?

Do you hack programs? If you don't, you probably don't need to have the source installed.

You should need the kernel source code (are you speaking about KERNEL source code...??) especially when you need to install a driver for some device...or if you want to recompile certain programs....
If you don't think to recompile yr program or to install drivers for yr devices...You don't need it!!
And Yes....You can download it in the future if you need.....
Bye
