dnscache problems

I don't think I've ever read so much and accomplished so little as with this program. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it won't. In particular, it doesn't like to cache yahoo.com or bbc.co.uk as evidenced by repeatedly saying it's caching those sites in the log, even though the next attempt will wait for the outside dns response and cache it again. If anyone has any ideas on what to do or where to go to get more information than what's in man and on the cr.yp.to site, I'm all ears. OR, if anyone has an alternative dns caching program that simply works without all this aggravation, I'm especially all ears!
