DISPLAY problem installing sun one studio on Fedora Core 2
I am trying to install Sun One Studio on Fedora - this is what happens:
[kyle@kyle ~/s1studio]$ hostname
kyle
[kyle@kyle ~/s1studio]$ csh
[kyle@kyle ~/s1studio]$ setenv DISPLAY kyle:0.0
[kyle@kyle ~/s1studio]$ chmod a+x ffj_ce_linux_en.bin
[kyle@kyle ~/s1studio]$ ./ffj_ce_linux_en.bin -is:javahome /home/kyle/j2sdk1.4.1/
InstallShield Wizard
Initializing InstallShield Wizard...
Searching for Java(tm) Virtual Machine...
.........
Running InstallShield Wizard...
InstallShield never starts. The same thing happened in Fedora Core 1, although I did get it to work in Red Hat 9, and SuSE 9.1. I've tried a few other setenv commands but I can't figure it out. Thanks for any help.
I also tried a -is:log option and got the following error message
