disk shows it is full after installing one cd

Hi,
I too am new to the Linux world. I currently am running Win 98se on one hard drive and Win XP on a second hard drive. Both drives are 80 gig and split in half. I have Partition Magic and PowerQuests boot loader installed on the partition with Win 98se on it. I wanted to install Suse 9.0 on the second half of the Win XP drive and during the install I tell it to not to install any boot software (ie lilo or grub) and install the software and all goes well except that the boot loader does the Suse files but cant find any
routine to boot it with so I cant boot suse. Come to find out that I think I am supposed to install GRUB onto the partition with the rest of Suse. How I don't know. But what bothers me moreso is that when I start up partition magic and look at the drives the drive that I installed Suse to the drive capacity and the amount of space used is the same (about 38 gig with just one cd used for the installation). Anybody have the answer to that one?

Thanks for the help,
Scott

You can boot into SuSE by booting the SuSE install CD and selecting the option to boot an existing Linux system.

I doubt very much that SuSE managed to install 38G of software from the first install CD. You can get a more realistic figure for the amount of space used by booting into SuSE, opening a terminal,
and entering this command:

du -s -h /
