disk druid doesn't see second harddisk (hdc) while fdisk does

I would like to upgrade from RedHat 6.1 to RedHat 7.2, but the upgrade utility can't find a linux partition on my system. In fact the second harddisk contains linux partition(s).

When accessing the partition information with disk druid only the first harddisk (hda) is found, however the linux partition(s) are on the second harddisk (hdc). When using fdisk both harddisks are found and the partition information can be displayed.

Why can't disk druid and the upgrade tool find the second harddisk? It's the master on the second ide-bus.

Thanx in advance,
