Disguising Mozilla as IE

Does anybody know how to make Mozilla appear to a website as if it is IE? The reason for me wanting to do so is that some sites check to see if you are running IE or not and won't let you in otherwise... Thanks

Check with google: mozilla user agent
I use konqueror for sites like that - it's easier to setup any user agent you like to. But that doesn't mean the website will work!

browser disguises

Don't know about the mozilla or konqueror set up biz, but being a dummie I managed to find the drop down that changes the Opera browser so its seen as IE5. That came with my SuSE 8.0.

This is not critiscm, I am just a total fuckwit when it comes to computers and stuff

oh and you can find the same drop down at Opera for windowz as well!!

cheerio

You could setup a squid proxy and configure it to send a faked user agent...
