Discuss: KDE 3.2 & Debian (Woody) Issues

Here's a few things I'm having issues with concerning KDE 3.2 and Debian Woody...

1. The package kdeartwork-theme-desktop (i think that's the name) won't install. It gives errors:

Unpacking kdeartwork-theme-desktop (from .../kdeartwork-theme-desktop_3.2.0-0woody1_all.deb) ...
dpkg: error processing /D/Debian/pool/main/k/kdeartwork/kdeartwork-theme-desktop_3.2.0-0woody1_all.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite `/usr/share/icons/Locolor/index.theme', which is also in package kdeartwork-theme-icon
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Errors were encountered while processing:
/D/Debian/pool/main/k/kdeartwork/kdeartwork-theme-desktop_3.2.0-0woody1_all.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

I should explain that I copied the entire KDE 3.2 tree to my hard drive because I got tired of waiting for it to download a couple times... I also had to because my network connection wouldn't work until KDE was installed (I have to log on to a transparent proxy).

2. I have MAJOR qt issues... for starters (probably also debconf related)... I get this when debconf runs:

debconf: unable to initialize frontend: Kde
debconf: (Can't locate Qt.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.8.3 /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.3 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.8 /usr/share/perl/5.8 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at /usr/share/perl5/Debconf/FrontEnd/Kde/Wizard.pm line 7, <> line 1.)
debconf: falling back to frontend: Dialog

Also, when I try to run xconfig to configure my kernel for a recompile (using 2.6.2) I get tons of "undefined reference to" errors. That is after tons of work for it to even acknowledge that QT was installed. I had to manually install it with the QT-X11 source... the Debian packages didn't do anything...

3. I don't have the Move to and Copy to context menus that I had with KDE 3.2 for Slackware... How do I get them back?

4. Overall performance seems a little slow compared to when I had KDE 3.2 running on Slackware... It takes a good amount of time for Konqueror to load. And even for KDE to start.

5. I have KDE set to load previous session when it starts... However, it seems to be loading a certain session and not saving my session when I log out...

6. Anyone know how to configure which KDE Services start when KDE starts? In particular I need the Laptop Battery Monitor to start automatically.

7. Konqueror likes to lock up sometimes...

I think that's enough for now.. If I find more or solutions I'll post again!!
