disappearing applications


When I minimize an application it disappears and doesn't show on the panel. I can "alt-tab" and find it. How can I correct this problem. I am using Suse 10 with Gnome 2.12. Thanks!

I'm guessing you don't have a Window List down there in the panel. Try this:
right click in panel area
select: Add to Panel...
find the Window List (in the Desktop and Windows section) icon and select it.

I've just deleted mine and re-instated it using the above method.
Did that work?

put it in KDE mode. and you wont have stupid gnome problems
