Disabling X Windows sleep

I'm running XFree86-4.3 on linux-2.4.
If I stop using my workstation for a few minutes, my monitor goes black(ie sleep mode). My monitor doesn't support automatically shutting down (as some monitors do), and my desktop environment (FVWM95) doesn't have a screen saver.

Thus, I conclude that its XFree86 that is shutting down my display. I would like to know how to disable it.

does your desktop environment have some sort of apm or power management tool? you could try from that, but i would suggest trying to turn of power management from the bios.
