Disabling core dumps in mandrake

I have a program running in a wrapper I found which restarts it when it goes down. I can make it go down from within the software on purpose but my problem is that it generates huge >200mb core dumps.

How do i disable core dumps in mandrake 9.1 or any other distrobution?
My app autostarts via a perl script in KDE autostart.

THANKS for your help ladies and gents!

I am not certain but i think that you need to put the following command in /home/user/.profile and /root/.profile

ulimit -c 0

See:
man bash
for a description of ulimit.

Also, Mandrake most likely sets your user variables in .profile but it could use .bashrc
