disable simple service on RedHat9...
Hello
I've just compiled my new opnmosix-kernel... and it works nice... I enabled usb-support for usb-mouses and usb-keyboards but although the usb-devices don't work... (just by the way).... ....but that isn't my problem... I just want to know the following: when my redhat9 (with the new kernel) boots up... it automatically starts these usb-devices like mouse, keyboard ... and I just want to disable this devices.. how can I say to my redhat: please, ... don't start my usb-devices at startup....cause I couldn't find any entry about usb in my /etc/rc3.d-folder... I just want to boot up to init 3, ... without usb-mouse, ... usb-keyboard-support....what have I gotto do??? thanks |
well... i hope... a linux-user has got the possibility to disable these devices... otherwise this os wouldn't make a sense anymore....
haven't got anyone an idea? |
how can i disable these human interfaces?
|
Well.....I was also wondering how I could stop USB mouse and keyboard services from running during startup...however...till now havent attempted to do that as I already have so many other issues to tackle ( especially one like having a triple boot using GRUB....which I succeeded in the first attempt itself!)
I'll try that soon...but it will be cool if someone gives a few pointers on how to prevent these USB devices to appear at startup.. Regards, amit |
thanks a lot for your information.... so... I know now... I'm not the only one with this problem....
....that's a kind of "strange"... whatever |
