I know you used to be able to turn off KDE Wallet from settings but it looks like that is no longer the case. Is there any harm in simply uninstalling it?
I don't use it and it has an annoying habit of popping up from time to time.
Distribution: Ubuntu based stuff for the most part

Looks like you can remove kwalletmanager and it does not try to remove anything else on Ubuntu, so looks like it is safe and easy to remove.
In KDE system settings there is an option to enable/disable the kwallet subsystem. I don't have it checked and have not seen it popup.

I think I'll uninstall it, it a real nuisance. BTW I could find no indication of it in system settings. I have heard the feature has been discontinued in latest KDE? I'm not using Ubuntu so it may be its doing things differently?
You may disable wallet without uninstalling it: in settings go to 'personalisation-account details-KDE wallet-wallet preferences' and uncheck 'enable...'

This is the best way. Uninstalling kwalletmanager won't actually get rid of kwallet, it will still be active.

I can find nothing that meets those settings in KDE. My understanding is that feature has, regrettably, been discontinued.BTW I'm using Arch.
Thanks all for your help. It would seem depending on your OS and what version of KDE you are running you either can or can not turn it off in settings. I found under connections system settings for wifi changing stored password to "non encrypted" shuts KDE Wallet up. Whether this is a good idea from a security perspective I don't know.
