disable graphic boot (RedHat 7.1) ...

After I installed RedHat 7.1, I tried to experiment higher video resolution setting through Xconfigurator. I selected "Graphic Boot". However after the reboot, the screen is out of synchronization. Now I can not change the video configuration because of the out-of-sync screen. I have tried to telnet it but not able to do so. Any suggestion?

You can do a "init=/bin/sh" at the lilo prompt and then follow it up with a "mount -w -n -o remount /; mount -a''

Then edit "/sbin/inittab" and change the runlevel to 3

From there you would reinstate your backup copy of /etc/X11/XF86Config Or, ummm, re-run Xconfigurator

And like the HowTo says, be sure to do a "umount -a'' before turning off the computer;

And of course, you can do a <CTRL><ALT><F2> to get into another term (but I suspect that this one will be scrolling too)

Actually, after re-reading your post, I would try this first. I doubt it will work, but it's easier
