directory changes into file?

Hi!

i have a weird problem with my file permissions. one of the directories in my home folder changed it's permissions from drwxr-xr-x to -rw-r--r--

i can see the humor in it as the directory was called .../backup/programma's_windows/ and i do have a backup of it's rather useless contents but nevertheless i'd like to know how to this could have happened and how i can reverse this....

when browsing the folders in konqueror it now says the thing is a windows executable, instead of a folder containing a few .exe's. i discovered this shortly after moving some files to a windows box using samba, can't say though if it already was like this before, or even somehow related to this.

Any help is appreciated...
