dillo download problem

I recently tried the lightweight webbrowser dillo. it is fast and browses webpage very well. But I found I could not download files from webpage. it aborted the downloads and prompted
Code:
Nav_open_url: Url=>(the url to the file to download)
Connecting to (ip address)
Type check: [Srv: application/x-tar Det: application/octet-stream]
Dpi: [Dpi_process_io] IOClose
in the terminal

has anyone been through the same problem? and have a solution?

Thank you!

Hmm.. I just tried, it works fine for me (I'm using the package from slackbuilds). I vaguely remember something about Dillo using wget for downloads. Do you have wget installed?

P.S. I'm getting the exact same prompts you're getting while the download starts, so I don't think that's where the error is:
Code:
Nav_open_url: Url=>http://www.dillo.org/download/dillo-0.0.0.tar.gz<
Connecting to 134.102.206.165
Type check: [Srv: application/x-tar Det: application/octet-stream]
Dpi: [Dpi_process_io] IOClose

arungoodboy, Thank you for your reply! I did some digging yesterday and believed it was the wget problem.

Because I installed slackware 12 on an very old laptop with limited space. So I just installed the whole series of a, x, and a couple of packages in series ap,l,n and xap, to make sure saving space. So you can imagine as a newbie in GNU/Linux, how easy to have problems like this Next time I will look into source more before I asked a question. Thank you!
