digital voice recordings

I've used F-Spot on my openSUSE 10.3 system to load images from a digital camera to my PC.

Does anyone know of a program to load digital sound (from a digital voice recorder) to my PC?

The digital voice recorder is a Sony ICD-P620.

My search on this subject showed pretty (over a year) old information, thus this post.

to assist helpers, how does this connect to pc?

usb, 3.5 mm line in sound card, or what?

2) has opensuse failed already?

have you installed a sound server like jack?

does your sound card have line in connections etc?

have you tweaked your sound config for alsa to unmute line ins or mic in or whatever you need to connect?

The dvr has a USB connector with it.

As far as "Jack", etc., I'm afraid I'm just not that up on sound related stuff. I was simply wondering if there was one simple program to do the trick for me.

I'll check out "Jack".

that sound server jack is mainly for soundcard inputs.....I use amarok for mp3 usb connection
