hello there. I've got digikam installed and i have a canon powershot s40. i've taken jpgs with it and i can download them fine. however i like to take pics in RAW format. when digikam reads the pics it shows the thumbnails of the raw images but don't display them fully after download. they is a raw converter plug using dcraw. if i ran this plug in i dont get a preview of the image. however i installed the dcraw plugin for the gimp and that converts the image fine. i would however like to be able to use the digikam plug in as it offers more functionality histogram and preview that the basic gimp plug-in dos'nt. Thanks. hope this makes sense.

I am not sure about digikam, if I remember well I was not able to get the crw plugin working properly.

However I use ufraw (which is also dcraw based) which also offers histograms etc. The drawback is that you don't have a gallery of thumbnails you can click on and open the raw image.
